GIFTED TO MCDANIEL BY THE MOVIE'S PRODUCE, DAVID O SELZNICK, AFTER FILMING WAS COMPLETE ON THE 1939 CLASSIC, HE INSCRIBED THE INSIDE: 'FOR MCDANIEL,/ WHO CONTRIBUTED / SO GREATLY! / WITH GRATITUDE / AND ADMIRATION, / DAVID O SELZNICK / XMAS, 1939.'
